Personal carrying equipment
What was the problem?
The modern "21st Century Warrior" concept,
being introduced by the Slovenian army, represents a group of various products
intended for soldier training and also for combat operations.
In the framework of this project Arex was engaged as a
development partner for developing personal carrying equipment.

These were the requirements:
- a product of modern design, considering the ergonomical principles,
- use of modern, durable materials,
- modular equipment.
What solution was developed?
Our development team carefully studied the
advantages and shortcomings of existing models and started the project on the
basis of experience and knowledge.
As unfortunately there was a relatively low number of
such projects on the market we developed some entirely original solutions:
- manufacture of basic rucksack onto which bags and pouches can be attached with different systems,
- modelling a unique attachment system for attaching belts, bags and pouches, with a system of plastic clips, with Security clip and with robust zip.
Numerous prototypes, made in sewing department, were tested in
the company and at the customer's. Equipment modifications are a result of the
desire to make a functionally optimal product that would provide the user with
as much comfort as possible when using the product.

What benefits does our solution bring?
- The product is totally adjusted to user's needs,
- modularity of the product prevents soldiers from being unnecessarily
burdened with carrying equipment that is not needed in a certain period,
- ergonomic design enables transferring weight from shoulders to waist and hips,
- material selection and robust construction enable product’s long life-span,
- equipment can be upgraded all the time (pouch and holster placement, etc. with Security lock).
